Dev Servers Getting Upgraded

Fri, May 9, 2008
On Monday morning, May 12th, our Dev servers are going to be switched over to a new set of servers more powerful than our previous hardware. If you are using the following servers you may see some timeouts and slow response times early in the morning:

map.dev.mapquest.com
geocode.dev.mapquest.com
route.dev.mapquest.com
spatial.dev.mapquest.com

Please note that this upgrade also requires new IP addresses for our servers, which we will update automatically via DNS. If you had to create any firewall settings to access these servers you may need to update your rules after the changes have gone through.

Any issues with the new servers should be reported on the forums.

5.2.1 released for JavaScript API

Tue, Mar 18, 2008

This morning we released an update to our JavaScript API. Version 5.2.1 uses DOJO 1.0.2, which fixes a bug in the original DOJO 0.9.0 GFX library that could cause line overlays to "jump" at certain zoom levels. If you do not use overlays in the 5.2 version of the JavaScript API, you do not need to make any changes.

To update, simply change the version parameter to "v=5.2.1".
