There are currently 132834042 features in the npi file. Features are roughly the same as the osm db although there is some filtering so the features are limited to something with a name and a key in this list: aeroway, amenity, boundary, bridge, craft, emergency, highway, historic, leisure, military, natural, office, place, railway, shop, tourism, tunnel, waterway. It was recently pointed out to me that we were missing named room= features and there are probably some other edge cases.
I'm afraid I have no specific times for an import. Speeds is dependent on many factors (memory, hard disk speed, postgresql configuration, cpu speed). If you are able to let us have your timings afterwards and hardware specification that would be great.
My most recent import (on quite powerful hardware) took around 2 days - I would guess 3 to 4 days in your case depending on disk speed.
