Is it possible to obtain a mapURL for the whole route?

Hi, I am building and app for one of my courses using the Directions API. I want to know if there is a way to obtain a URL for a static Map that contains the whole route, right now all I am getting is a mapURL for each Maneuver, and I just want one image with the complete route from the start to the destination showing the complete route. Thanks in advance.

You can use the static map
You can use the static map api. Use the sessionid from the directions response in the map url to vastly simplify the image url.
