Alloted Transactions

Hi!

We have a problem using the mapquest api

We upgraded our Free version mapquest api to paid version BASIC plan. Normally we should have 30.000 transaction / month.

How are you counting transactions? What are the starting and ending dates for the count?(Example Sept. 1 to Sept.30).

Do you count "Open Directions", "Directions", "Open Geocoding", "Geocoding" all together towards transactions?

We are only using this api to calculate distance from point A to point B.

Following is used to calculate distance:

http://www.mapquestapi.com/directions/v2/route?key=KEY&avoids=Ferry&outF...
&from=
&to=
&drivingStyle=2&highwayEfficiency=21.0&doReverseGeocode=false
We tried contacting you through calling & the contact form but we get no answer.

Please help us!

Thanks in advance,

Best regards

Gaurav

Email and phone support are
Email and phone support are limited to Enterprise Edition. Free and other Developer Network plans do not include email or phone support.   All transaction types are included in the transaction count, including nested transactions like geocoding an address within a route, search, or static map request.   Transaction counts are reset on the date of plan creation. So If you signed up on 9/25 then the monthly cycle runs from the 25th to the 25th of each month.

Can you suggest how we can

Can you suggest how we can lower our counts? We are calculating door to door mileage.

As you can see we already reached our max count.

Route using lat/lng instead
Route using lat/lng instead of addresses where possible and set doReverseGeocode to false in the route options. Otherwise it's just dependent on the number of routes you're using.

We purchased higher limit

We purchased higher limit plan but our transaction counts are still high.

doReverseGeoCode had been set to false. Can you provide any help on how to use lat/long from Address A to Address B?

We only calculate door to door milegae.

Directions using lat/lng
The "to" and "from" URL parameters will accept a set of comma separated latitude/longitude coordinates.  Formating the origin and destination like this should work:   &to=39.751787,-104.997035 &from=39.990475,-105.217034
