API Geocode Different From GUI Geocode

The geocode I get for an address from the MapQuest API is often less precise than the location shown on the MapQuest GUI. The API will put me in the middle of the street while the GUI will put me on top of the house.  I prefer the latter. Why is this and how can I get the more precise location through the API?

Thanks.

Thanks for your help. How would using the display latLong affect routing. Would routing be prone to failure?

Routing would be prone to ending on a nearby road rather than the correct location. If a displayLatLng is closer to the road behind the parcel (think factory or mall or mansion) then the route may end on the wrong road where there is no entrance.
