how to query address with country

Hi when querying

 

http://open.mapquestapi.com/nominatim/v1/search.php?key="mykey"&format=json&q=madrid

 

i get coordinates for Madrid, but in Colombia. How do I specify country?

Can you provide the correct full address format, of it its possible to query for just city and country?

MapQuest's version of
MapQuest's version of Nominatim is several years old. We recommend using the geocode API instead. Country can be set in a 5-box address request.
