(This addition is originally from this post: https://developer.mapquest.com/forum/static-map-declutter-custom-labels so forgive me if I shouldn't be double posting this on this topic)
The custom marker labels only appear to display the first three digits specified. Using the HTTP request with the following format:
Will just show a blue circle with "123" instead of "1234." I could just be doing something wrong, though.
Being able to use the declutter with the custom label numbers is nice. Previously if I had a large map with three places near each other, I'd only be able to see one's custom label.
When I use declutter mode with regular markers (about 8 of them in a smallish area) and then add a large marker like |marker-lg-42EBF4-42EBF4-B, it will overlap the other smaller markers. I just use |marker-md-42EBF4-42EBF4-B instead and it's fine (works for my purposes), but that might be considered a small display bug.
The map has bestfit, declutter on, normal markers (no size specification so like |marker-black-12), size 1920x1080, retina 2x, png image type, scalebar true, traffic false if you need the info to reproduce.
Could you private message me or something? I can provide a few pretty good examples but since I set some static locations as some home addresses of people I'd rather not post the actual request link on here publicly (though I'm okay with posting the map freely, I doubt it's much use without the request link). The same map I also have an instance of the circular markers overlapping one another (there are around 88 poi's on this map), even when all of them are just the normal markers (no size change).
I don't see anything, but I can't find where to check my PM's on here. If you could check my registered e-mail you could also contact me that way, but I'll keep an eye out for both.
I don't show anything in my e-mail (I use Gmail), could you try again? It's not in my trash/spam/inbox and I checked my auto filters. I do have a message from Mapquest on Oct 17th about the v5 Beta, but nothing else.
Is the beta static map api down? It was working for me as of about an hour ago (around 3:00 pm EST I think?), but only shows me a blank screen now when I manually enter the url in the address bar. When I use C# to check for an HTTP response I get a 404:
